The effects for prescribers, while concerning, is of less importance than the tactic implemented by the pharma company often for profit purposes. Itent of this disregard for quality health is to mandate reciprocation and is a tacit quid pro quo that potentially clouds the judgement of health care providers because others choose greed over treatment quality, and this method continues. If discovered, prosecution is possible for kickback violations.
