This article gives a very cursory account of the dibilitating disorder known as Mal de Debarquement. There is evidence of it last for 40 years in sailors, it is now known that it is not gender specific to middle aged women. There are support groups online; an international support group at Yahoo, and a more country specific one in the UK.

For more information and links to articles, a brochure, and newsletters go to www.mddsfoundation.org. There are also surveys that are aimed at collecting more information about this misdiagnosed disease. There are many Canandian members of the International support group who are seeking help and recognition.

Good to see the link.

The nature of the ATTRACT service limits what it can do, it only has a relatively short time to find and report on information. This is fine for 'common' conditions but relatively rare and/or poorly understood/researched conditions may well get less comprehensive coverage!
