Evidence based practice in infection control.The epic initiative was established in 1998 by the Richard Wells Research Centre at Thames Valley University as an overlapping series of long-term government commissioned research projects focused on contributing to the development of the evidence base which underpins the practice of infection prevention and control in the National Health Service (NHS).
